CONSULMAR WAS PRE-QUALIFIED FOR NEW PORT SAINT LOUIS IN SENEGAL
(May.2015)
Leading a consortium that also meets the Tunisian company COMETE and Senegalese ATLAS, CONSULMAR has just been pre-qualified for the studies with a view to the tender for the new river-sea port of Saint Louis, Senegal.
The project is funded by the International Development Association (World Bank) and this short-list follows the international tender called by the “OMVS – Organization Pour la Mise en valeur du Fleuve Sénégal”.
The list of the five companies selected for the contest, currently underway, includes the largest multinational companies in the sector, such as ARTELIA, the EGISPORT and ROYAL HASKONING, which enhances the relevance of CONSULMAR qualification.
The new sea-river port, which will be an essential infrastructure in international navigation project Senegal River, will comprise a general and containerized cargo terminal, a marina, deepening of the access channel and basin maneuvers, as well as the works for fixing the harbor entrance bar.
