MAAT – A NEW AREA OF CULTURE AND LEISURE IN LISBON

The opening of the new Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology of Lisbon has enriched
the city with a new space for culture and leisure. With an undeniable architectural
quality, the project is also another valuable link between the city and the Tagus river.

Consulmar provided technical assistance to Afaconsult in reshaping the MAAT riverside
slope structure, whose architectural design has transformed the existing “perré” – slope
coated tidy stone – in radial and reentrant steps, to follow the shape of the building
flap/console.
