Angra do Heroismo Marina
The Marina, or Recreational Port of Angra do Heroismo develops in the central area of the bay that skirts the city. Integrated in an area classified by UNESCO as World Heritage, the project of this marina was the subject of specific studies, in order to preserve the characteristics of the environment, and was accompanied by underwater archaeological research works, with the aim of safeguarding the integrity of the possibly existing heritage at the construction site. The marina, protected by a dedicated breakwater, has parking capacity for 270 boats in floating walkways, offering even a boats ramp and berthing and fuel supply quays. The onshore facilities include the Reception and Control Building and the supports services building (including showers, laundry, restaurants, etc.). CONSULMAR developed the planning studies and detailed design of the marine works and onshore facilities.
