Consulmar undertook the Detailed Design of the expansion and renovation of the airport of Flores in the Azores. The runway was extended by 300m. The design also included drainage and night signalling and the repavement of the entire track for a length of 1400m. A new urbanization to resettle displaced families was also designed. Consulmar also issued the certification process and, in consortium with NORMA-AZORES, supervised the various contracts.
