Fishing Port of Vila Praia de Âncora
The fishing port is sheltered by two breakwaters, 180 and 170 m long, sheltering a 4ha basin with bed levels between (2.0m) and (1.0m)CD, obtained at by dredging and rock breaking. The access is at (-3.0m)CD. The works include new interior embankments, beaching ramp, a pier, 80m long and bed levels of (-2.0m)CD, and an inclined plane to support aid to shipwrecked. The old port’s area is converted to a recreational boating sector. CONSULMAR prepared all concept designs, planning, detailed designs, environmental impact studies and mathematical modelling studies.
