Forum Sintra – Foundations and Structure

The Forum Sintra , designed by the  architects ARX and Chapman Taylor , is a shopping center with 160,000 m2 of construction area and 55,000 m2 GLA ( Gross Leasable Area ) , located in Rio de Mouro – Sintra  and results of the expansion and modernization of the old supermarket Feira  Nova.
The building has three basements for car parking. The ground floor, the 1st and part of 2nd floors are commercial and cinema areas.

The structure of the Forum is mainly in reinforced concrete , with occasional use of prestress and steel structures , including the exterior roofs of the north and east entrances and large skylights on the roof of traffic areas.

The technical team of DIMSTRUT currently integrated in the technical team of Consulmar, developed the designs of foundations and structures
