The interception system Terreiro do Paço/Cais do Sodré, included the pumping system and sea outfall, and represented an investment of 8.2Meuro, which took place in 2009/10.

The intervention, which supervision and coordination of safety were the responsibility of CONSULMAR, included the construction of the interception and transportation of wastewater (to the WWTP of Alcantara) of the drainage fronts: Largo Chafariz de Dentro – Terreiro do Paço – Cais do Sodré (excluding the direct discharges in the Tagus river estuary) and involved the supply and installation of equipment of Tide Valve Chambers of Rua do Ouro and Rua Augusta / Rua da Prata, as well as the diversion, suspension and replacement of the infrastructure (Affected Services).
