Master Plan of the Port of Ericeira
The Port of Ericeira, built in the 70s, includes as major works a breakwater, a 30m quay and an embankment. To improve the port, which presented advanced degradation of the breakwater, IPTM appointed CONSULMAR to prepare the Master Plan of the Port and to Design the Marine Works of the 1st Phase of the development. The Master Plan envisages the extension and rehabilitation of the breakwater and improvements in the fisheries sector – an extension of the boats ramp, expansion of the beaching area, a new fish auction building and equipment warehouses. The Master Plan also envisages a set of interventions for the recreational boating sector, limited south by a vertical breakwater with a berth on the lee side and sheltering floating pontoons. The works considered as priority are the extension and rehabilitation of the breakwater and the construction of the warehouses.
