Pavilion of the Sea, Ponta Delgada – Foundations And Structure

The Pavilion of the Sea, in Ponta Delgada, Azores, was designed by  the architect Manuel Salgado.  It has an deployment area of 170 x 28.5 m2. It has a single structural module supported on two alignments of columns with pot-bearings, like a bridge.
The structure in is in reinforced and prestressed concrete and mainly supported on pile foundations.
The technical team of DIMSTRUT, currently in Consulmar staff, designed the foundation and structure.
