Face ao período que atravessamos, e com o objectivo de minimizar quaisquer riscos relativos ao COVID-19, a CONSULMAR decidiu implementar um Plano de Contingência que permitirá manter a operação e continuar a disponibilizar os nossos serviços da forma habitual. PONTA DELGADA – 2nd PHASE OF WORKS START THIS YEAR

Eng. Lucília Luís was recently in Ponta Delgada to present the Project for the second phase of the port works. With this project, developed by Consulmar, it is intended to solve some pathologies, safety problems and operational limitations of the commercial wharf.

A protective structure will be built on the current front, the embankment will be repaved and all technical networks will be completely replaced.

The advancement of quays will be about 25 meters in relation to the current front, with a total length of about 380 meters of quay and a 60% increase in the area of the embankment.

The demolition of some buildings, the relocation of the mess room, the refurbishment of the gate house and the construction of a new building, as well as some dredging in the basin are foreseen.

The works will start this year, with a € 32M cost and a construction term of 36 months.
