Cascais Marina

Following a public tender, CONSULMAR elaborated studies and projects for the Cascais Marina, preparing its design/build/operate tender process. The contract was awarded to a tenderer who presented an alternative solution. The project developed provided parking for 500 vessels, sheltered by a rouble mound breakwater endowed with an extensive submerged wave breaking berm. The project was subject of extensive studies involving physical and mathematical modelling.

In addition to floating fingers, the project also included a slipway, a haulage berth, a supply and control berth, a travel lift and a tides grid. Onshore facilities comprised the Control and Administration buildings, Support Services (bar, showers/changing rooms, laundry, etc.), workshops and shopping areas, car parking and ships. CONSULMAR was responsible for the set of studies and projects. Following Contract Award, CONSULMAR provided Technical Assistance to ENATUR in monitoring the construction of the concessioner’s alternative solution.
