Expansion and Renovation of “Hospital do Mar” – Foundations and Structure

The expansion and remodeling of the Hospital do Mar in Loures , with PINEARQ architecture , aimed the expansion of the hospital building and the existing car parking.
The extension of the building with three floors and a basement, contains several structural elements exposed concrete forcing the great care with the detail of the whole structure, including participation in the study of the formwork layout and concreting phases.
The work involved the partial demolition of a building facade as well as processes and choices of construction and demolition in order to make it fast and quietest possible, since the hospital kept running during the whole course of the work.
The technical team of DIMSTRUT currently integrated in the staff of Consulmar developed the designs of foundations and structures.
