The zone dedicated to fisheries is located along the 500m city canal which communicates with Ria Formosa. The interventions consisted in dredging 750 m of the city canal to (-2.00m)CD, constructing a floating parking area for fishing for approximately 300 boats and constructing a new loading quay with an operational length of 100 m and bed levels at (2.00m)CD. The onshore infrastructures and facilities include embankments for drying of nets, a slipway and the assembly of 50 equipment warehouses. CONSULMAR prepared all the concept, planning and environmental impact studies, as well as the detailed design of the marine works and onshore facilities.
