Fishing Port of Sesimbra
The Expansion and Development works of the Fishing Port of Sesimbra involved a broad and phased intervention, which included the construction of 1200m long breakwater, three 90m long quays and two continuous piers with bed levels of (-3.50m)CD for hauling, equipping and fuel supply, as well as the creation of new embankments, a groyne to contain sand and dredging.
In the second phase, the onshore facilities were constructed, including the buildings of the port administration, maritime authority, equipment warehouses and support services, the new buildings for fish auction and ice storage, as well as a ramp and a ship repair yard.
CONSULMAR was from the beginning – with the development of the General Plan – associated with all studies, and carried out the Preliminary and Detailed Designs of all structures and infrastructure, further ensuring technical assistance and supervision of all Works that were funded by the German bank KFW.
