The Marina, or Recreational Port of Horta develops into a separate area of the remaining sectors of the Port and is sheltered by a dedicated breakwater. This marine was designed for the transatlantic sailing, which quickly consolidated and strengthened the tradition and international fame of Horta to support this sector. It has capacity for parking 100 floating vessels, and also presents a berthing and fuel supply quay. The onshore facilities comprise the Control and Administration buildings (Captaincy, Fiscal Guard, Administration, gas station), Support Services (bar, showers / changing rooms, laundry) and the Nautical Club. CONSULMAR developed the planning studies and design of all infrastructures and facilities.
