Lng Terminal in Sines
The design of the LNG terminal in Sines, promoted by Transgás included a new marine terminal and onshore infrastructure, namely, gas storage tanks and cooling circuits. The marine terminal was constructed adjacent to the East jetty, a deep water structure protected with 60 T and 90 T concrete blocks. The solution for the mooring of vessels of up to 300 feet long (165 000 m3) was the construction of five caissons in reinforced concrete and six additional ones for the unloading equipment. The seawater intake and discharge for the thermal circuit were subject to complex studies in regards to the project requirements. In addition to the design of the port structures and the seawater intake and discharge, Consulmar also provided technical assistance during construction.
