The marina at Ponta Delgada develops into a separate area of the remaining sectors of the Port, and is sheltered by a dedicated breakwater. It has capacity for parking 120 floating vessels and also has a beaching ramp, and berthing, hauling and fuel supply quays. The onshore facilities comprise the Control and Administration buildings, Support Services and Navy Club buildings, in addition to areas for parking of vehicles and trailers and workshop vessels gathering facilities. The complex also includes a seawater Olympic size swimming pool, and its support building. CONSULMAR developed the planning studies and projects of all infrastructures and facilities, and also provided Technical Assistance to the Employer and participated in the Supervision of the Works.
